This was taken on top of the first escarpment from a road built by the Long Range Desert Group. Notice the rocks on the rocks in the foreground. They were put there by the LRDG to line the road. There is absolutely nothing up here and it leads to nowhere, so the locals never come up, but one was able to guide us part of the way.
